About Daphne Spector Esq.

Daphne Spector Esq. brings a dynamic background that spans law, business, and creative industries. She holds a Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School, where she earned an added certification in Intellectual Property, Media, and Information Law. Ms. Spector also holds a

valued Business degree from Bentley University.

Ms. Spector has contributed to teams in legal and business capacities serving clients across a wide spectrum—from startups and small businesses to established enterprises—advising at various stages of growth and development.

Ms. Spector’s legal training includes experience with two respected intellectual property law firms, which were located on Fashion Avenue and Park Avenue in Manhattan. There, she contributed to matters involving notable clients in the fashion, jewelry, fragrance, technology, accessories, cosmetics, restaurant, liquor, toy, and consumer goods sectors. Some notable clients of law firms, for which Ms. Spector has contributed work to the firms’ legal teams, has included Iconix Brand Group, Hugo Boss, Fashion Nova, Windsor Fashions, Duty Free Americas, Hard Candy cosmetics, Animale fragrance, DanDee International toys, and more. Ms. Spector also significantly contributed to the commercial litigation and intellectual property litigation teams.

She also had the honor of working for two esteemed judges: one in the New York Supreme Court’s Commercial Division, and another in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Ms. Spector further contributed legal research and writing to the acclaimed Sneaker Law publication, by Anand and Goldstein, underscoring her deep engagement with fashion and intellectual property law. Additionally, she trained closely with a transactional contract attorney on fashion brand collaboration and entertainment deals.

Ms. Spector is the proud Founder of the Fashion Law Society, which she successfully led for three years. Under her leadership of the executive board, the organization hosted more than 25 events focused on fashion law and industry networking. She has spoken on numerous legal panels, and most recently served as moderator at an exclusive fashion law conference in February 2025. Ms. Spector has served with numerous pro bono clinics, and remains an active mentor and alumni resource for law students nationwide.

With a previous career in advertising, Ms. Spector brings a practical understanding of branding and market positioning—skills that shape her client-centered legal strategies. There, she worked on the Comcast account, and assisted with Citi and KFC. She has worked on creative and corporate teams at fashion houses, including, Vera Wang (bridal and ready-to-wear), e-commerce platform UsTrendy.com, with a notable Boston-based fashion influencer, and contributed to editorial publications. Ms. Spector also served as an apprentice to a talented fashion designer, with the intention of deepening her knowledge of the creative process, and of the legal challenges creatives may face along the way.

 

Ms. Spector prioritizes staying current on legal developments, including artificial intelligence, by attending conferences on emerging areas that impact client industries. With a high and impressive Bar Exam score, Ms. Spector was awarded a qualification that allows her to apply for admission as an attorney in 41 states across the nation. A natural connector and trusted advisor, Ms. Spector is happy to introduce clients to her network of potential collaborators and industry partners.​
